Sony Unveils Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera With 4K Video

Sony has now unveiled the a7 III (model ILCE-7M3) — an update to 2014’s a7 II and 2015’s a7s II.

Now boasting a 24.2 MP sensor with 5-axis optical image stabilization, internal 4K HDR video capability (downscaled from 6K) and longest rated battery life of any mirrorless camera thanks to its Z series battery, this a7 III is labeled by Sony as the “basic full-frame model” of its mirrorless camera lineup, and will retail for about $2,000 USD for the body only.

The a7 III shoots stills at up to 10 frames per second in RAW or JPEG, with a buffer of 177 images for JPEGs, 89 images in compressed RAW, and 40 images in uncompressed RAW. It captures images with 15-stop dynamic range, and outputs 14-bit RAW files. Additionally, if there is fluorescent or artificial lighting present in a shooting environment, users can activate the anti-flickerxii function to allow the a7 III to automatically detect frequency of the lighting and time the shutter.

For video, the camera offers 4Kvi (3840×2160 pixels) video recording at 120 fps across the full width of the full-frame image sensor, producing high quality 4K footage with exceptional detail and depth. Other notable details on the camera include dual SD slots, a USB-C port, microUSB, HDMI and wireless connections via WiFi, NFC and Bluetooth, while it’s equipped with a BIONZ-X processor that is 1.8 times faster than its predecessor.

While the a7 III body costs around $2K, the body with an FE 28‑70 mm F3.5‑5.6 kit lens will be listed for around $2,200 USD, and availability starts in April.

For additional information, head on over directly to Sony‘s official website and also view the performance videos below.

Arbitrage NYC Releasing 40+ Archival Dolce & Gabbana Pieces

Online boutique and fashion archive Arbitrage NYC offers a curated selection of designer clothing to buy and rent, and while the brand has built collections highlighting archival Helmut Lang, Maison Martin Margiela and Rick Owens pieces in the past, the imprint will now be releasing their seventh and final archive capsule, this time featuring Dolce & Gabbana.

Featuring over 40 pieces from past collections ranging from FW 1999 to SS 2008, majority of the pieces will be from Dolce & Gabbana’s iconic FW 2003 collection, which drew heavily from military and futuristic inspirations, as well as techno and punk subcultures. During that time, bondage and S&M-inspired design was already trending in menswear, Dolce & Gabbana further exaggerated the style by infusing their trademark hyper-masculinity and military themes.

With standout pieces including the 2003 nylon bondage bomber, 2003 reconstructed military trousers and the 2007 mesh bomber, this will be Arbitrage NYC’s last shoppable collection for the foreseeable future, however, the brand will be shifting its focus to curating a varied selection of archive designer and vintage designs available to rent and sharing this extensive archive on their Instagram and official website.

Shop the entire collection starting, February 23 at 12 p.m. EST on Arbitrage NYC and Grailed.

McDonald’s Brings Back ‘Rick and Morty’ Szechuan Sauce

The most hyped condiment in fast food history is set to make a comeback on February 26th in the United States. After the botched limited release of McDonald’s Szechuan sauce last year due to limited stocks and insane demand, the fast food giant is re-releasing the iconic “Rick & Morty” staple in a massive way.

Fans went wild for the sauce back in October 2017, with reports and social media posts emerging that fans of the show had allegedly protested outside McDonald’s locations and abused staff after the ultra-limited sauce had sold out.

Justin Roiland, co-creator of Rick and Morty, has since apologized for the treatment of staff as it became clear supply fell well short of demand.

Now McDonald’s aims to roll out a much larger release. In a post on its official website, aptly named wewantthesauce, McDonald’s confirmed “Szechuan Sauce is coming back, and in a big way.”

McDonald’s employees have also already taken to social media to post pictures and videos of the Szechuan sauce’s arrival at certain locations. Check them out below and make sure to find a way to have someone send some of the world’s most sought after sauce to your My Shopping Box USA address!
