Nike’s Foamposite Air Force 1s Are Back

One of the most durable Air Force 1 iterations is coming back this year, with leaked product images surfacing of a model first released in 2010. The Foamposite AF-1 rebuilds the classic silhouette of the Air Force 1 with Nike’s resilient Foamposite material.

Although Nike hasn’t confirmed the return of this sneaker, it’s set to release on the calendar of chain store DTLR on January 5th.

Unlike most of the early Air Force 1 Foamposite releases, this pair does not expose the midsole’s Nike Air bubble, and instead has a more traditional opaque treatment.

Kobe Bryant’s Jersey Retirement Memorabilia now Available

The NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers have officially retired Kobe Bryant’s jersey numbers; both #8 and #24, at halftime in today’s matchup between the Lakers and the Goldenstate Warriors, making him the first player in NBA history to have two numbers retired on a team’s rafters. Bryant played his entire 20-year career with the Lakers, taking them to the NBA Finals seven times and winning five NBA championships, and was named NBA MVP in 2008.

The Lakers and Laker fans alike have created beautiful pieces of memorabilia to commemorate the moment and to celebrate the legacy of one of the greatest players to ever play the game of basketball. We’ve collected a few of them for you, and more are available at the NBA Store Online.
